इस्लाम में पानी की बर्बादी की सख़्त मनाही है। पवित्र "क़ुरान" में कहा गया है कि प्रत्येक जीवन पानी से बना है। इसी तरह "सूरा अल-अंबिया" में आता है कि अल्लाह ने हर जानदार चीज पानी से बनाई। (सूरा अल-अंबिया, 21ः30)

 Wasting of water is strictly prohibited in Islam.  The Holy "Quran" states that every life is made of water.  Similarly in "Surah Al-Anbiya" it is mentioned that Allah created every living thing out of water.  (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:30)
