Environmental concern is not a subject of show off

We are slowly cutting the branch on which we are sitting and showing that we are preparing a solid ground for ourselves. It's like deceiving yourself. If on one hand we are not able to save trees, we are not able to conserve water, we are not able to remove noise and air pollution then how can we say that we are environmentally conscious? If we are happy to celebrate World Environment Day by planting trees in a temperature of 45 degree Celsius, then we are deceiving ourselves or we are just showing concern for the environment. Whereas the concern for the environment is not a subject of show off.

Nature does not show off but we humans do not get tired of showing off. If there is a mango tree, then it will give fruit of mango, not of guava, but we do not care deeply about the environment, just pretend to care. But we pretend to be who we are not. That is, by becoming a mango tree, they do the drama of producing guava.

The latest example of this is Sadhguru Jaggi, who is running a worldwide campaign for the salvation of soil, while visiting different states of the country, also came out of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. To see and welcome them, a huge crowd gathered on the road that they had to pass. It was the effort of the crowd gathered there to take a selfie with Sadhguru. This was not possible for everyone. Only a few capable people could reach near him. Now the thing to think about is whether it was more important to take a photo or a selfie with Sadhguru or follow the path suggested by him. The truth is that even a master will not be as pleased to see the crowd standing in his welcome as it is to see that people are conserving the soil by following the path shown by him. There is no difference between Sadguru's words and deeds, but there is a big difference between the words and deeds of the crowd gathered there. After listening to his speech, 80 percent of the people forgot. Then why did such people go there? Well, leaving this example aside, many cities, including my city Sagar, have almost the same story, where there are big ponds, there are lakes. The drama of renovating the Sagar Lake continued till the last year. Almost every year, taking pickaxe and shovel, the so-called public servants kept getting themselves photographed in the name of cleaning the pond and getting them printed in the newspaper. The pond kept dying from mole to mole. Now under the Smart City Concept, preparations are on to revisit the days of ponds, but this too is taking more time than necessary. If the ponds remain dry, there will be no moisture in the land, then how will the environment be suitable for rain? In fact, we are ignoring the interrelationship of nature, environment and weather. It is not the fault of the weather that why the monsoon has not arrived in Madhya Pradesh till now, it is the fault of our selfishness, due to which we have caused immense damage to the environment.

For many things, we only blame the government. Like if there is dirt in the city then the government is responsible for it. If there is delay in cleaning or renovation of the pond, then only the government is responsible. There are many such examples. We want to keep ourselves free of blame by putting our carelessness on the shoulders of the government. I do not want to give a clean chit to the government but neither the government comes to spread dirt in the city nor does the government say that if there is a delay in the renovation of the pond, then sit silently and watch the spectacle. We can raise our voice against disorder. But at the same time, we also have to look into our own eyes because neither the government nor any aliens come to spread dirt in the city. Monsoon is about to come. But small and big drains of the city are choked with polythene. If it rains, these drains will overflow and create a flood situation in the localities and low-lying settlements. Have we thought about this in time? Do we raise our voice in this direction in time? No. That is why we have to deal with the problem of floods in low-lying settlements every year.
Environment means nature, plants, plants, animals, birds, humans and all of us beings. Without the environment, we all do not exist. Environment is important for human beings. Industrialization and technological advancement, man has done a lot but has been unable to understand the importance of nature. Most of the people are ignoring it even considering it. Trees are being cut for many years for the construction of factories and buildings. Forests are being cut indiscriminately, so that big factories, offices, schools etc. can be built. We are forgetting that if we harm nature without thinking, then nature and environment will not be able to survive. Due to all these activities, the balance of the environment is deteriorating today. If it continues like this, dire consequences will be seen.
In the intoxication of industrialization and progress, it is disturbing the balance of the environment. The population is increasing rapidly. People need a house to live in. Forests are being cut from the ground to get land. Plantation is being done but still the deforestation has increased tremendously. The farmer is doing agriculture by clearing the forests. If there are no forests, where will the animals and birds live? His home is a forest. Trees and forests are being cut to get many types of precious wood. The environment is getting hurt so much that the human race is constantly suffering from natural calamities. It is also the responsibility of man to keep the water of all water bodies and rivers clean and protected.
Human needs pure water, healthy food and clean air to live. If we want to get all this, then we have to keep the environment comfortable. You have to do your daily activities in limited quantity so that pollution is reduced. If pollution is less, then all living beings and the environment will not be harmed. Today the whole world is worried and worried about the environment. If we all do not become aware now, then nature will take its ugly form and everything will perish. We all have to work in the interest of nature, understanding our responsibility. When nature is beautiful, then there will be greenery all around us. If nature is safe, then we and this earth are also safe. If we plant a tree, it has to be watered, it has to be kept alive, we cannot get the greenery of the trees by only taking plantation pictures. Actually, we have to leave the pretense and worry about the environment with a sincere heart and take necessary steps.
